Cleveland’s businesses are being temporarily closed for various reasons. Recent events have caused streets, stores, and other establishments to shut down. And the main reason for it all is safety.

The world is facing a pandemic. Everyone is affected, even businesses. Due to COVID-19, people had been cautious in going out.

And despite the reopening of businesses following a period of social distancing and quarantine, it is still not just the same anymore.

Downtown Cleveland had turned into a ghost town as people stayed home and establishments closed.

It was mid-March when Ohio Gov. Mike Dewine announced certain restrictions to different sectors because of a health emergency.  Even the governor himself has tested positive in COVID-19 from the recent news.

Riots also happened last May 30. This further worsened the situation as businesses sustained damages.

And while the city tries to reopen slowly despite these events, some stores and establishments remain closed.

In light of these events, make sure to keep your customers updated.  This will let them know your current business status and whereabouts.

Update a Temporarily Closed Business

Change your store’s status as temporarily closed through Google My Business.

Go to info on the menu and point to the section “Close this business on Google”. Then, click “Mark as temporarily closed”.

This will show in Google Maps and Search not affecting the local search ranking. And so, you don’t have to worry about your online visibility.

Also, you can edit your available working hours to inform your customers for everybody’s convenience.

Boost Online Marketing if your Business is Temporarily Closed

Your products or services should be known and shared even in this pandemic.  Use social media, for instance.

Social media marketing strategy comes with a lot of loads but with the help of the right people, you will never go astray.

It may also be your chance to update your website. Captivating web design can interest customers.  For example, a catchy layout will make your audience more fascinated.

This is where you introduce your branding.  Share what you can offer or to what extent your service is all about.

Creating a reliable web page can make your customers trust you even more.  Define your content, goals, and targets.

Take the time to track your performance. Digital analytics is a measurable marketing strategy that will help monitor your business’ performance.

Tracking your data will save you time while making more sales. Track the reputation of your business daily, weekly, or monthly. Through this, you get to keep up with the changes and how to improve further.

Identify the highlights and low lights. From here, you will understand how to satisfy your customers more.

In Conclusion

COVID-19 should not hinder any business to prosper.  It is only a matter of “how” and “who” to approach for assistance.

Your temporarily closed business may need a hand to recover.  Importantly, the marketing strategies listed above should be considered.
